USCIS Requires Certain Applicants to Submit Medical Examination Report

ASESORIA MANOS
USCIS Requires Certain Applicants to Submit Medical Examination Report

Certain applicants filing Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, are now required to file Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Record of Vaccinations, with their Form I-485 or we will deny the Form I-485.

Applicants for adjustment of status generally must complete an immigration medical examination, receive all required vaccinations, and submit a properly completed Form I-693 signed by a civil surgeon to demonstrate that they do not have medical conditions that make them inadmissible under health-related grounds.

If you are required to submit Form I-693 or a partial Form I-693 (such as an Immunization Record), you must submit it with your Form I-485. Otherwise, your Form I-485 may be rejected. The instructions for Form I-485 have been revised to require submission of both forms together.

This change has been made to reduce the number of Requests for Evidence that are issued prior to adjudicating a Form I-485.
