IMMIGRANT VISAS: Employment-Based
Every year the United States welcomes thousands of workers in multiple occupations or employment categories. Among others, they include investors, corporate executives, researchers, artists, cultural exchange participants, religious workers, scientists, athletes, nurses, agricultural workers. All foreign workers must obtain authorization to work legally in the U.S.

IMMIGRANT VISAS: Family Petition
Many people become permanent residents (commonly known as green card holders) through family sponsored immigration. The United States promotes family unity and allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPR) to petition for qualifying relatives to come and live permanently in the United States. One may be eligible to get a green card through a family member who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, or through one of the special categories described below.
